Last weekend, at the Bjeline city beach, organized by the Hunting Association "Trofej", a gathering of hunters from Kotor Varoš, surrounding municipalities and the region was held.
The "Trofej" association, which has over 280 members divided into five sections, organized competitions in six disciplines. The most successful team was the "Cvrcka" section, while individual victories were won by: Srđan Marković (clay pigeon shooting), Đorđe Dević (long jump), Ilija Savić (sack running), Bojan Sinkić (shot put) and Šahdo Fifić (air rifle shooting).
Diplomas and awards were presented by the president of the association, Miljan Maksimović, who emphasized that this was the first gathering after a ten-year break and that hunters, in addition to the economic importance of hunting, most value friendship, sport and love of nature.
Maksimović recalled that the association was founded in 2020, and that it is actively working on the construction of a hunting lodge and other hunting and technical facilities.
The Mayor of Kotor Varoš Municipality Zdenko Sakan wished the participants "a steady hand and a good view" and emphasized the importance of such events for the promotion of hunting and connecting young and experienced hunters.
The organizers thanked everyone who supports the work of the "Trofej" hunting lodge with commemorative plaques.
